Welcome! I am a theatre director, educator, and Shakespeare nerd with 20+ years of experience unironically defending the musical Cats. As a director, I specialize in the revitalization of classic texts. I thrive when creating highly stylized worlds to use as a vehicle for telling stories about the human experience at this exact moment in time. As an educator, there is nothing I enjoy more than helping students find their voice through devised storytelling.

2024 marks a decade since I took my first directing job. Since then, I have enjoyed directing numerous plays and musicals in community theatres, universities, and regional theatre houses. You can also occasionally find me in the classroom teaching students of all ages, or coaching post-graduates for MFA programs and auditions. I hold a BA in Theatre and Communication Arts from Gannon University and an MFA in Directing from the University of Portland.

I previously served as Artistic Associate and Director of Outreach at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia. At GVT I was a resident mainstage director, educator, and producer of the annual Voices of Appalachia New Play Festival. I was also the co-creator and director of GVT’s Educational Touring Initiative—a program that tours new educational plays to elementary and middle schools across the state.

My current home base is Ann Arbor, Michigan, but I am always excited to explore the corners of the Earth my next project will take me. Where will we go together?
